Rabbi Shlomo Alkabetz (16th century) is the author of the famous song Lecha Dodi. He wrote his book Brit Halevi in Adrianopol before he went up to live in Tzfat. The book is a commentary on the Pesach Haggadah in which he explains the Exodus according to Kabbalah.
