Together with the Rosh Yeshivah, Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman, and Rabbi Naftali Neuberger, Rabbi Tendler was instrumental in saving Iranian Jewry for Torah life during the dangerous years after the Shah's downfall.
