Look Inside

In Tanach, sacred Hebrew Scripture, Elijah the Prophet is a vivid dramatic figure who defies kings and false prophets for G-d, and at last goes up alive to heaven in a chariot of fire.
In a long unbroken tradition that begins in the Talmud and continues into our time, Elijah returns to earth whenever, wherever he is needed, to help pious, deserving Jews in distress. He can appear in any form - as old or young, rich or poor, Jew or Gentile. In dreams or waking visions he comes to devout, holy scholars to reveal precious secret meanings in the Torah. Time and time again he saves a poor starving family from trouble and misery. He rescues whole communities from disaster in a cruel alien world.
Arranged by subject headings, this work is a heart-warming treasury from the well-springs of Jewish tradition and is gathered from all sources of Judaism.
