The Marrano island of refuge. The story of “The Western Home”: The Marrano island of refuge “The Western Home” is the hope of the Marranos - the secret Jews who suffer from libels, expulsion and cruel persecution by the Chrisian Church and rulers in Spain. "The Western Home" is a remote island out in the ocean, home of the Marranos who escaped there in the days of wrath. In this book, we will read the historic story of the Kuriel family: on their way to safe shores, they find themselves struggling with the terrors of nature and the plots of people. Their trust in Hashem grants the excellent sea navigators the strength to cope during seemingly impossible hard times. "The Western Home", third in the bestselling series from master author Chaim Waldman, completes the fascinating adventures of the first two books - "Escape from Seville" and "To the New World” - and provides answers to unresolved questions. “The Western Home” is a book that will take you to another world, one so ancient, yet so tangible and current - for the nature of man hasn't changed and the story as if takes place before our eyes in real time. “The Western Home” is based on historical facts that were meticulously gathered by Chaim Waldman, a descendent of the Kuriel family to whom some of the family's secrets were passed down as a legacy. The series has become a must among historians searching for organization of the Marranos in those dark times and their incredible success at becoming a strong, independent force surviving in the face of large world powers. Comics is proud to offer you an extraordinary book that honestly reviews an important era in Jewish history.
