"I HEARD ABOUT YOUR MOTHER...I'M SORRY.
I GUESS, WELCOME TO THE CLUB."
"CLUB? WHAT CLUB?"
"YOU KNOW, THE CLUB FOR GIRLS WITH 'PROBLEMS,' GIRLS WITH A STORY."
"I DON'T HAVE PROBLEMS. OR A STORY."
Tehilla Rabinson, a
confident, popular twelfth-grader at Tichon Beis Yisrael of Deerfield,
has it all: a great group of friends, a wonderful family, and a bright
future. Until, one day, everything changes. On the outside, Tehilla
remains the same-perfectly composed, perfectly in control, perfectly
perfect. But inside, beneath her flawless exterior, Tehilla is falling
apart, and there is no one who can help her.
Chani Grossberg, a quiet,
timid tenth-grader, doesn't know what hit her. One day she was secure in
the loyalty of her best friend, contentedly living in her shadow. The
next day, she was all alone.
Though they traverse the same school hallways, Tehilla's and Chani's
paths do not often intersect. But then they are unexpectedly brought
together, beginning a journey of growth and self-discovery in which they
both learn that survival depends on reaching out and reaching within,
fighting the current and riding the waves.
