Penina Pinkowitz is not a happy camper!
“Penina,” Mrs. Pinkowitz said. “Guess what? You’re going to day camp!”
“What?” Penina gasped. “Why are you punishing me?! I don’t want to
go to day camp! The girls aren’t my friends, the lunchroom smells like
socks, and there’s nothing interesting to do there!”
Mrs. Pinkowitz sighed. “Since school ended, you’ve done nothing but
read and carry out your ‘teensy’ experiments. I think you’re bored.”
“Ahhhhhh!” Penina let out a strangled cry.
Mrs. Pinkowitz continued as if it were nothing. As if she wasn’t sending Penina straight to summer jail.
